Why You Might HATE Math

If you are the type of person who says "I hate math" and think Math stands for “Mental Abuse To Humans", then you should watch Arthur Benjamin speak about how math has been pointed towards the wrong goal, Calculus, when it should focus more on Probability and Statistics. I dove into math when I took a Prob & Stats class in 11th grade. Learning how to apply probability to the game of Craps was right up my alley. How could I not be interested in learning the percentages to have the odds in your favor to win hella doe? This was the beginning of me being more observant of stats and asking myself what the numbers are really saying. Prob & Stats has more real world application than any other subject that I have taken. It helps me anticipate what's going to happen next, what happened in the past and most importantly what move I should make next. That's why I will always tell folks to Do Your Math!
